Get rid of stains, chips and cracks with dental bonding and contouringCover imperfections with aesthetic dental techniquesIf stains, chips and cracks are keeping the world from seeing you smile, we can help. Dental bonding is a procedure in which a tooth-colored material is applied layer by artistic layer to the surface of the tooth. Dental bonding covers discoloration, repairs chips, breaks and cracks, and closes gaps between teeth. A composite resin filling may be used when only a small amount of tooth structure needs replacement. Dental bonding and contouring is one of the most conservative, versatile and affordable ways to aesthetically restore a multitude of cosmetic problems. You may be surprised how easy it is! |
Porcelain veneers are used to:
- Close gaps
- Restore broken or chipped teeth
- Permanently whiten teeth
- Cover teeth that are stained, unsightly, crooked or misshapen
Not conventional caps, but natural-looking, functional teeth. What makes Veneers unique is the artistic design of the shaping of the veneers. . They function and look like real teeth. In as short as two visits you can have a confident and beautiful smile. The porcelain is layered to give your teeth a natural look – unlike the mass-produced veneers.
Porcelain dental veneers are best for the following situations:
- A whiter smile where bleaching or bonding have not worked
- Where the size of your teeth need to be enlarged to close spaces
- A narrow arch widened to show more teeth
- Enhancing smiles of young patients whose teeth and gums have not fully matured
Crowns and Bridges
Crowns are synthetic caps, usually made of a material like porcelain, placed on the top of a tooth. Crowns are typically used to restore a tooth's function and appearance following a restorative procedure such as a root canal. When decay in a tooth has become so advanced that large portions of the tooth must be removed, crowns are often used to restore the tooth. Read More...
A brighter, whiter smile takes about an hour – but it can last for years
Shifrin Dental uses ZOOM! laser technology to quickly and professionally whiten teeth. This is the same teeth whitening treatment utilized in the popular reality show, Extreme Makeover. Now you can have brilliantly white teeth without stains or darkness – by up to eight shades, in about an hour. And the results can last for years!
At-home teeth whitening in about two weeks
Shifrin Dental can also create custom-fitted trays made in our own lab for your at-home use. We’ll provide you with full instruction and all the supplies required for teeth whitening at home. The trays are more exact than off-the-shelf products because they are made from models of your teeth. Trays can be worn at night or during the day for one to two weeks or until you get the desired level of whitening.
There are many situations that do not require root canal therapy (Endodontics), or where root canal therapy may be one of several options. For this reason, we typically request that a consultation visit be scheduled in order that your relevant medical and dental history be reviewed and that your unique situation be considered in recommending appropriate treatment options.
A consultation is the beginning process of every procedure. A clinical and radiographic examination (x-rays) is performed to determine if endodontic therapy is necessary, if there are special treatment considerations and if the tooth is restorable by your general dentist after the treatment is completed. Radiographs are displayed on patient monitors to explain each specific recommended treatment plan. Radiograph drawings are created to achieve clear communication about the patients individual case. All images created during the initial consultation are stored in the patients digital chart for future reference.
Dr.Shifrin will be happy to answer any of your questions, at this time, about the cause of your endodontic problem, the treatment sequence and the course of healing. Endodontic treatment is normally completed in one visit, but may require up to three seperate appointments to complete the treatment.
DENTURES:
Dentures are removable for comfort and easy cleaning, and make a world of difference in your appearance.
A partial denture is recommended when patients are missing some teeth, but wish to keep and protect remaining teeth, Those who have few natural teeth left and wish to replace all their teeth use full dentures.
Dr. Shifrin's team carefully crafts your tooth replacements for a very natural look. They’re created from acrylic materials to integrate well into your mouth, so your new replacement teeth are not easily distinguishable from your natural smile.
Your teeth are important to your general well-being. When saving natural teeth is not always an option, dentures can help you fill the void and improve your eating and speaking abilities. Losing teeth does not have to mean compromising your smile
